the result of the not-so-nice email

So a few weeks ago i wrote about this not-so-nice email i received from a friend back home regarding one of my drawings. I was shocked, uninspired and ready never to draw again....that was until i turned the anger and hurt into fuel. Jip shell and mobil and all the fuel companies will phone me soon...hahahah
Anyway. Here is my drawing. It is not finished yet because it is taking forever...cross hatching is not really the quickest way to draw. :-)

So here it is:

A panoramic view from our appartment

Singapore sleeping at night...mmm

singapore in pictures part 2

Above: A storm brewing...this is also part of the view from our apartment.
Above: Line up team baking in the sun...and yes...that is matching outfits you are seeing!
We were actually waiting to send the teams out. Their pick up arrived an hour after this picture was taken. We didn't smile at that time...

Above: Line up team looking for the ship at vivo city. It was obviously not there! I will post a picture of the ship in VivoCity as soon as it gets there!

Above: Maybe if we try looking in colour that might help.

destruction of a mother

How do you handle someone who stabs you (or someone close to you) in the back? Someone who turns the church against you? Someone who seems to be so nice but turns into a nasty not nice person when could be money involved.
What to do lah?
Forgive? That is something that God needs to help me with...i just don't get why people would destroy other people like this. Why a Christian would behave like this?
Can someone please explain?

truth on a tshirt

the ship is HERE...well here but not here...it is hanging around with some other oversized cargo ships in the open seas. For some reason i do not yet know and don't think i will understand, they have not allowed the ship to come alongside and berth in the shipyard. Many reppurcussions and extra stresses but this is what line up is all about.
I was looking forward to seeing my BEST friend today...but guess that will have to wait till tomorrow. Typical line up life: "here is the problem - now go deal with it!"

I saw a t-shirt the other day...pretty cool phrase written on it, it said:
" Let me drop everything i am doing and sort out YOUR problem."

MONDAY!!!!!

The ship will sail into Singapore on Monday morning hopefully around 09:00. As a team we have lined up 22 Dry Dock teams. This means that while the ship is out of the water being beaten up by a bunch of international guys and then fixed up by the same guys, the ladies will go off the ship and go and share the Love of the One they treasure. Yes, 22 teams will go and serve alongside churches and different ministries and share Jesus as they go along. I am really looking forward to hear the different stories when the teams return from their different adventures.
So the ship will come in on Monday, 3 of us (line uppers) will be on the quayside waving our arms off and screaming like crazy. I can't wait to see my heart-friend (she knows too well!!) and just give her a hug. My highlight of seeing the ship come in is to see the people's excitement! Not just locals, but also shiplings. Man...let's see.
Okay so i have been rambling a bit but this is my thoughts today. I will keep you updated..

i'm Back....

What a trip...
On Monday i went to Kuala Lumpur on one of the most luxurious buses i have ever been on. This was the cheapest one!!! I immediately knew that i was not in South Africa anymore. During my travels i had prayed...without ceasing...that God would guide me and help me like He promised. I arrived in KL and got out of the bus as the windows of heaven burst open in litres and litres of rain that poured down. I could have stayed and just waited it out...but since i love rain, miss rain and was in a hurry i decided to bolt. I had great fun being lost and asking for directions. I have been to KL before and thought i understood the Malay accent but i was mistaken. I managed to track down the YMCA where i would be spending the night. What an interesting experience. It was like spending the night on the stoep (porch) of an inner city outreach organisation in South Africa. The YMCA is in the middle of a busy place. The whole night i was 'entertained' by shouts of Hindi, car engines revving so high, motorcycles making' noise and hot sticky air. By now you have gathered that i didn't sleep much. In the morning i checked out and then had some nice complementary breakfast in the YMCA coffee shop across for a very think Afrikaans accent accompanied by green Kroc's.
I made my way to Klang on the Train. I sat on that train for an hour and studied the busy and sleepy people.
I reached Klang and met my contact there. This lady is one of the prettiest Indian ladies i have ever met. She has a beautiful heart for God! We had a quick meeting with her husband and then went to the local food courts where i had curry soup with everything in it! Pork, chicken, fish, egg, noodles...you name it and it was in there! After that we went back to her home to have some chai (Indian tea). I caught the hour-train to reach KL Central by 08:00pm. I hanged around that area and caught the night train to Singapore. Yes...the one with sleeping berths where you lie in a very small cramped bedjie (small bed in Afrikaans) and get thrown around like it is nobodies business. I guess it is what it would be like to sleep in a tumble dryer...
It might sound horrific but i had a blast. I did realise that i HATE traveling alone! Yes...not dislike...HATE!!!!
Anyway, i arrived safely in Singapore on Wednesday morning...tired beaten up and ready for bed and a nice shower.
Here are some pics of my journey..

Above: missing my mommy and sis...we used to travel on the slaap trein when we were younger. Such a nice family holiday...oh...those were the days!

I am heading out to Kuala Lumpur Today. It is the capital of Malaysia for those of you who don't know...
I am a bit nervous since i do not like traveling by myself and because there isn't anyone waiting for me on the other side - i am a bit more nervous. BUT this morning GOD showed me again that He is in control.
PSALM 73
23 Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Have a great week. i will see you again on Wednesday!
