Singapore in words

I am in Singapore...still. This has been quite the adventure. I have had many a opportunity to brush up on my chopsticks skills, to sweat like i have fluids to spare and share intimate spaces with strangers. There are people everywhere! The MRT (train) is overcrowded with thousands of people, the streets have streams of people flowing in different directions and the lifts (elevators) are crammed to the fullest with as many people as can fit.
There are so many things i find funny in this cultural mix. Take for instance the fact that the poor "close-the-door" button is always assaulted. Whenever someone exits a lift the person closest to the button will press it continuously until the doors are firmly shut. The thing that makes it funny is the fact that i don't think it changes anything!
Singapore is a hot and humid place. Very humid. One cannot attempt to wear more than one layer here as you will definitely soak through the layers soon enough.
As a team we were adventurous the first couple of days...Asian food for lunch and dinner every day. The last couple of days we reached our limit and we have changed our diets form bland noodles to fruity cereals for supper. Yes so we have breakfast for breakfast and supper...lets see how long that lasts!
I am off to bed now.
